Seven Stones Winery

Seven Stones Winery cultivates 20 acres of bench land in Cawston overlooking BC’s spectacular Similkameen River Valley. The journey began in 1999, when the land, once a hayfield and part of a neighbouring ranch, was purchased and transformed with vision and purpose. Just a year later, vines were planted, and by 2003, the winery proudly released its first vintage.
In 2016, the winery introduced its remarkable man-made caves, designed to provide the ideal aging environment for its wines. The Similkameen Valley’s arid climate poses challenges for traditional, above-ground cellars, which require significant energy to maintain cool, humid conditions. By building the cellar seven feet underground, Seven Stones leverages the natural insulating power of the earth. The result: a stable, energy-efficient environment with a consistent temperature of approximately 10.5°C—perfect for aging fine wines.
