Mariposa Fruit Market
For westbound travellers, Mariposa Fruit Market is the first farm stand that signals you’ve arrived in Keremeos — the Fruit Stand Capital of Canada. Positioned right on Highway 3, this large roadside stand opens early and stays open late through the growing season, making it an easy stop whether you’re heading in or rolling through.
The selection moves with the season: cherries in June, peaches and apricots through July and August, apples and pears into the fall. Alongside the orchard fruit, you’ll find local honey, jams, syrups, and a rotating mix of snacks and drinks that make it a practical stop for stocking up on the road.
Mariposa is one of several family-run stands that have shaped Keremeos’ identity as a fruit-stand destination, and it’s a natural first chapter on the Similkameen Valley Farm Trail heading east toward Cawston.
