Lasser Produce

The Lasser family has been farming in BC since 1988, and their roadside stand at the Keremeos Bypass junction is one of the most well-positioned stops in the valley — right at the corner where travellers split toward Penticton or Osoyoos, on the edge of the Fruit Stand Capital of Canada. The stand is stocked through the full growing season with apples, cherries, stone fruits, and specialty crops grown on their own Similkameen farms, with the selection shifting naturally as the harvest moves from spring through to November.
The full story spans the highway. Just across from the fruit stand, the family’s Lass Chance Beverage Co. transforms surplus and imperfect orchard fruit into small-batch craft ciders and all-natural fruit sodas — no added sugar, no preservatives. The range runs from apple and pear to sour cherry, concord grape, and haskap berry, all poured from 12 taps in a tasting room with a full food menu and mountain views. Together, the two operations show exactly what a farming family can do when nothing goes to waste — fresh fruit on one side of the road, the best of the harvest in a glass on the other.
Corner of Keremeos Bypass and Highway 3.
